Summer Academic Camp for Pre-K to Sixth-Grade Students
Since 2015, we at Summer Cool Camp in Fairfield, California, have been working to improve and enhance children's learning skills and habits. We know that 25% of what was taught over the school year is lost during the summer months, therefore, it is important to help students master skills learned during the past school year and introduce new skills for the next grade. Introducing new skills makes students feel confident starting from the first day of school.
SCC is NOT a school, we are designed to keep the mind and body active over the summer. Many of our students are in the best academic and physical shape starting from the first day of school.
Our facility is Not for one age group. We sing, dance, and exercise together, however, campers are linked by age. Some kids are advanced, while others are eager to learn advanced skills. Each student is assigned work based on ability. Our program is designed to prevent learning loss, encourage confidence, introduce public speaking (fan favorite with microphone), and have a dynamic summer.
We have over 20k square feet to run, play, and learn.
Our Story
Summer Cool Camp was founded by a mom who recognized the learning loss in her children over the summer months. She then decided to hire teachers who love children and who understand that each student
learns differently.
Our approach is to allow students who yearn for advanced knowledge to be given advanced work no matter their age or grade.
Additionally, we provide support to those who might have missed some instruction, causing a learning gap, and who need help without the pressure of day-to-day lesson plans that require moving on without mastering the skills.
